Tractor Operator Assessment Only
Aim of this Course / Target Group
The Tractor Operator Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) certification assessment service is to confirm competence of experienced operators who have the skills necessary to demonstrate competence at least to the minimum national certification standards (NOHSC7019).
The assessment is aligned to the nationally recognised unit RIIMPO315E Conduct tractor operations, which specifies the outcomes required including planning and preparation for work, the conduct of operational checks, the safe and effective operation of the machine for a range of mandatory tasks, the fitting, use and removal of attachments and operator maintenance activities.

2-4 Hours
Please
note: This is the nominal time allocated by Australian Training Management Pty
Ltd to complete an RPL assessment of an experience operator. Assessment may be
completed within a shorter or longer time frame depending on the experience of
the candidate. More than 1 candidate may be able to be assessed in this
time. Fees charged for time not per
person.
Course Content
The
assessment addresses the following:
- Planning and preparing for operations
- Pre- and post-operational checks
- Start up and shut down procedures
- PTO operation
- Hydraulic lift system operation
- Drawbar usage
- Attaching an implement
- Connecting implement hydraulic lines
- Operator maintenance
Assessment Method
Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration
Pre-requisites
Must have
basic English literacy skills and significant operating experience.
If required by the employer or by the site management, or if required to drive the machine on a gazetted road, the candidate may require a Car (C) Motor Vehicle Drivers License
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful completion
participants will be issued with certification for either of the following
depending on the level of experience:
- NOHSC 7019 Certificate of Competence
- RIIMPO315E Conduct tractor operations
What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear appropriate work attire.
WHERE IS THE TRAINING CONDUCTED
The assessment is conducted on-site, in the workplace for corporate clients. In order to conduct this assessment on your worksite you will need to provide the following:
- A machine in safe working order
- Suitable attachments in safe working order
- A suitable training venue/ room
- An operating area
