Working at heights is one of the most high-risk activities in any industry – and there’s no room for complacency. Our Work Safely at Heights Refresher course is designed to ensure your skills and knowledge remain sharp, compliant, and ready for action.

Whether you’re on a construction site, in maintenance, mining, or any role that requires working above ground level, this course updates you on the latest safety practices, equipment, and legal requirements to keep yourself and your team safe.

Who should attend?
This refresher is for workers, contractors, and supervisors who have previously completed a Work Safely at Heights qualification and need to renew their competency to meet workplace and regulatory requirements.

Course Content

This refresher course is based on the requirements outlined in the Regulations, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards for any person required to work at heights. It reinforces the essential skills and knowledge needed to perform tasks safely and includes:

  • Refreshing safe work systems and practices to prevent falls
  • Identifying hazards and assessing and controlling risks when working at height
  • Updating knowledge on the selection, fitting, use, care and storage of PPE
  • Best practice in selecting, using and maintaining tools and equipment used at heights
  • Emergency response planning and procedures
  • Safe methods of working on brittle and fragile materials

Assessment Method

Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration.

Pre-requisites

Must have basic English literacy skills

Evidence of previous statement of attainment for RIIWHS204E - Work safely at heights no older than 5 years

Academic Award & Recognition

Upon successful completion participants will be issued with the following Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment:

  • RIIWHS204E - Work Safely at Heights

Course Fee

CTF Pricing For Eligible Customers

$51.00 payable after CTF has been applied.

This subsidised rate is available to eligible companies under our bulk billing arrangement with the Construction Training Fund (CTF).

Individuals may still be eligible for the subsidy; however, they must submit their claims directly to CTF, as we are unable to claim on their behalf. For more information about the individual claim process, please contact CTF directly.

CTF provides funding support to assist with the training of eligible workers in the construction industry. We acknowledge the CTF’s contribution in helping reduce training costs for eligible participants.

What To Wear

All course participants are required to wear appropriate work attire and closed in shoes.

Morning Tea & Lunch

Feel free to grab a tea, coffee or snack before the course starts and during the course breaks.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch as it is NOT provided.
