Course Content
Participants will learn how to:
- Key legislation, regulations, and codes relating to the selection, positioning, inspection, and testing of fire extinguishers and fire blankets
- Routine inspection procedures for fire extinguishers and fire blankets
- Testing and tagging processes
- Types of extinguishing agents and the risks of mixing them
- Folding fire blankets in accordance with manufacturer instructions
- Special requirements for aggressive environments
- Documentation and reporting of inspection activities
Assessment Method
Knowledge based questionnaires and observation of practical demonstration
Pre-requisites
Must have basic English literacy skills
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful completion participants will be issued with the following nationally recognised Statement of Attainment:
- CPPFES2020 Conduct routine inspection and testing of fire extinguishers and fire blankets

CTF Pricing For Eligible Customers
$164.00 - This subsidised rate is available to eligible companies under our bulk billing arrangement with the Construction Training Fund (CTF).
Individuals may still be eligible for the subsidy; however, they must submit their claims directly to CTF, as we are unable to claim on their behalf. For more information about the individual claim process, please contact the CTF directly.
CTF provides funding support to assist with the training of eligible workers in the construction industry. We acknowledge the CTF’s contribution in helping reduce training costs for eligible participants.
