Aim of this Course / Target Group
Master the Lift. Control with Precision.
Operating a non-slewing mobile crane requires more than just muscle — it takes focus, skill, and licensed training. Our Non-Slewing Mobile Crane (CN) Licence Course provides you with the practical knowledge to safely and efficiently lift and move loads using a non-slewing crane with a capacity over 3 tonnes.
Who should attend?
Anyone operating cranes such as franna cranes, or other non-slewing mobile cranes, in construction, mining, shutdowns, or heavy transport — especially those working in coordination with licensed doggers.
Course Content
The program addresses the following:
- Job planning, hazard identification and hazard control measures
- Pre start, start up, after start and shut down procedures
- Operating the machine
- Working near powerlines
- Safe load handling
- Mobiling a load
- Emergency procedures
Assessment Method
Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration
Pre-requisites
Must have basic English literacy skills and be over 18 years of age.
Whilst this course has no pre-requisite requirements, as a requirement by Australian Training Management all candidates must hold a current Dogging High Risk Licence (DG).
Course Requirements: Please make sure you have 1 primary photo ID (eg. driver's licence, passport or current HRWL).
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful completion participants will be issued with the following Nationally Recognised Statements of Attainment:
- TLILIC0040 - Licence to operate a non-slewing mobile crane (greater than 3 tonnes capacity)

CTF Pricing For Eligible Customers
$396.00 - This subsidised rate is available to eligible companies under our bulk billing arrangement with the Construction Training Fund (CTF).
Individuals may still be eligible for the subsidy; however, they must submit their claims directly to CTF, as we are unable to claim on their behalf. For more information about the individual claim process, please contact the CTF directly.
CTF provides funding support to assist with the training of eligible workers in the construction industry. We acknowledge the CTF’s contribution in helping reduce training costs for eligible participants.
Optional Licensing Processing
New and Add Class Applications: $110 WorkSafe fee will apply if requested for ATM to process licence application (This price is inclusive of 1 passport photo)
Transferring Interstate Licences and Adding a Class: $150 WorkSafe fee will apply if requested for ATM to process licence application (This price is inclusive of 1 passport photo) - Please call us to make the booking over the phone if this is the case

What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear long sleeve pants, a long sleeve shirt and steel cap boots.
Morning Tea & Lunch
Feel free to grab a tea, coffee or snack before the course starts and during the course breaks.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch as it is NOT provided.
