Course Content
The course addresses the following:
- Planning and preparing for tip truck operations
- Conducting pre-start, operational, and shutdown checks
- Safe start-up, driving, manoeuvring, and parking procedures
- Loading, hauling, and unloading materials
- Operating tipping systems safely
- Identifying hazards and applying risk controls
- Communication and site requirements
- Working safely around other vehicles, plant, and personnel
- Basic operator maintenance and housekeeping
- Compliance with workplace procedures and legislative requirements
Tip Truck Assessment Only service is also available for experienced operators seeking initial certification or Verification of Competency (VoC).
Assessment Method
Knowledge based questionnaires and practical demonstration
Pre-requisites
- Must have basic English literacy skills
- Must hold a Heavy Rigid (HR) Motor Vehicle Driver's Licence
Academic Award & Recognition
Upon successful completion of this course, candidates will be issued with the following nationally recognised statement of attainment:
- RIIVEH304E – Conduct tip truck operations

CTF Pricing For Eligible Customers
$376.00 - This subsidised rate is available to eligible companies under our bulk billing arrangement with the Construction Training Fund (CTF).
Individuals may still be eligible for the subsidy; however, they must submit their claims directly to CTF, as we are unable to claim on their behalf. For more information about the individual claim process, please contact the CTF directly.
CTF provides funding support to assist with the training of eligible workers in the construction industry. We acknowledge the CTF’s contribution in helping reduce training costs for eligible participants.

Important – Course Start Time
Our standard course start time is 8:00am sharp.
Participants are required to arrive by 7:45am for sign-in and room allocation.
Participants arriving after the course start time may be denied entry, and their booking may be cancelled.
Please note: Some courses may have alternative start times. Any variations will be clearly communicated prior to the course.
What To Wear
All course participants are required to wear long sleeve pants, a long sleeve shirt and steel cap boots.
Morning Tea & Lunch
Feel free to grab a tea, coffee or snack before the course starts and during the course breaks.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own lunch as it is NOT provided.
Vending machines are available at our West Swan site.
